Your Hood Guy cleans the entire kitchen exhaust system: the hood, the duct work, and the fan. All accessible surfaces are cleaned down to bare metal or the acceptable limit according to the authority having jurisdiction and the NFPA #96. We will inform you of any unaccessible areas and formulate a plan to gain access. We are experienced in installing many different types of access panels and hinge kits. We check the fan belt for any cracks or stretching and replace as needed. We annually grease the fan bearings and check to make sure that all bolts are tight and have not loosened from your fan vibrations. Who We Are
Your Hood Guy was founded in 2014 by Claiborne Pellegrin Jr. Since 2008 Claiborne had assisted in building his former Fire Protection Company from the ground up. With his company mission in mind he decided to venture out on his own. He realized there was a need to provide outstanding service and quality of work to the local culinary community of New Orleans. Eventually that expanded to Baton Rouge and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. After countless customer requests, Your Hood Guy recently added fire protection services to their offerings. Claiborne Pellegrin and his wife Kristin are both homegrown local hospitality industry vets. The Pellegrin's entered the service industry at a very young age and actually met over a decade ago while both tending bar in the Quarter. Kristin Pellegrin has worked for OpenTable the past several years. It appears both of them couldn't escape their love for working in the industry. They have two young children and now live on the bayou in Indian Village. They both understand the challenges of the local restaurant industry. The Pellegrin's also have a deep rooted understanding of hospitality and service.
